We contacted CCWC services because we had just got a new 25,000sqft Warehouse that needed cleaning. The new Warehouse consisted of 3 large warehouses knocked into 1 large Warehouse. Each Warehouse had white panels all the way around that had collected so much dust, grease & dirt. I contacted CCWC and I heard back from them the same day and we arranged a meeting. I was met at the Warehouse by a lovely gentleman who was super helpful and explained in details what they would do to achieve best results. When the quote was agreed a booking was made to have a team on sight to have the work done. The two gentlemen who came on sight to do the work were again so helpful, so kind and very good working guys. They managed to finish the job in a couple of days and the outcome was stunning. I was very shocked to see the huge difference the clean had made. The panels come up like new and all the walls/panels were dust, grease and dirt free. So I was a happy lady. What is an eye bolt?

Eye bolts are placed usually near an opening like a window. Contractors lock onto these for protect them against fall arrest – that is to stop the contractor from falling.

Eye bolts are also used for rope access I/E Abseiling from high rise roofs. Abseilers use two eyebolts one as a main line and one as back up.

How often should eye bolts be tested?

For Fall Restraint the test is every 12 months, for Rope access they must be tested at least every six months.

How can I find an eye bolt testing company?

What is a Man-Safe System?

Mansafe systems comprises of a stainless steel wire rope, posts and fixings provide users with an approved, tested and inspected method of safe access/work. These systems can be horizontal, vertical and overhead.

How often should mansafe systems be inspected?

At least every 12 months.

Rye Bolt Testing Regulations Update

CCWC have all of the necessary experience and equipment to accurately test and examine any eyebolt installation. We will produce a report detailing any faults, stating which eyebolts need to be withdrawn and which eyebolts are fit for use. All tested eyebolts will be marked in accordance to the relevant British Standards and the PPE Directives, detailing the date of the next required examination and the usage purpose of the eyebolt. Finally, we will provide you with a Certificate of Periodic Examination.

Routine inspection, eye bolt pull testing and maintenance will help extend the functional life of your system and ensure that all workers who attach to it are properly protected as they go about their duties.

Personal fall protection equipment – Anchor devices

The British Standards Institution has published BS EN 795: 2012 (August), following a revision by CEN/TC160. The new version supersedes BS EN 795:1997, which is now withdrawn. It was prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association and supports essential requirements of EU Directive 89/686/EEC.
